PROS:~ Nice sound quality compared to the last generation of airpods~ Fits ears just perfectly without falling out a bit~ Cool design~ Awesome new spatial audio just like surround sound which I always prefer~ New side button presses for more control and convenience~ Case supports wireless charging which is very convenient~ Longer battery lifeCONS:~ A bit pricier but with upgrades~ Doesn’t have modern USB-C port and still uses old lightning portI would recommend this to anyone who can’t afford the airpods pro at the moment and looking at alternatives. This is as close as it gets and I’m very much satisfied with it.

Fitment of gen 3 is a lot better than gen 2 for “ME”. Previous gen will fall off for me on slightest movement so i had to use silicon hook and it bothered my ears. If you are experiencing that, the gen 3 will work for you. Much better battery life, got around 5 hours and 20 minutes watching netflix with full charge. Sounds a lot better than my gen 2. I did not find any major difference in music with spatial audio on and off. However, i did find it harder to hear people in videos with spatial audio ON. No tapping feature, changed to squeezing stem.

I picked up a pair of Gen 2 airpods a month back and found that I kept knocking them out of my ears. I have large ears so the previous airpod design was a loose fit but these fit muuuuch better and the shorter stems are great. I much prefer the pinch controls to the tap. Most importantly the Gen 3s sound better. Period. The magsafe charging and lack of silicone tips are just icing on the cake for me. I am someone who cannot stand the feel of in-ear buds that block my ear. That is not an issue here. 5 out of 5 product in my opinion.

I had to shove it in a bit, and then the blocking of the outside world’s sound made my ear hurt after 20-30 minutes of using them. Overall, I just couldn’t use these bc of the pain of my head or the deeper part of my ears.Sound quality is awesome, the music, the conversation in meetings. Ppl in my virtual meetings could hear my talking clearly even in a loud coffee shop – impressive microphone quality. I was talking for 3 hours. Battery life was much better than gen 2. But had to return bc of the ear pain even after weeks of getting adopted to them.

I ended up returning these as they were noticeably larger than the previous gen 2 airpods I owned. I had them in my ear for no more than five minutes before I began to experience some discomfort. I never had this experience with the gen 2 model. From what I’ve read online, half the people who try these seem to prefer them while the other half experiences some level of discomfort or pain. I wish Apple had kept the previous form factor with the tapered ends to accommodate a wider range of ears.I think the shorter stems, sound quality, and battery life are all an improvement from previous generations. If the fit works out for you, they’re great. Just didn’t work for me personally.

Better bass response that previous model. Fit is fine just a bit more full than previous. Spatial audio (Dolby atmos) is pretty cool feature at times if your device is compatible – it’s pretty mind blowing effect to slightly turn your head while watching a movie & it sounds like audio is “in the room” (playing with room ambience – like you don’t even have headphones on). Spatial audio is not why I’d buy these as it has limited use but it’s a cool side feature at times. I would say the AirPod 3’s are 30% improvement over the AirPod 2’s … worth the upgrade IMO but just barely. I’m an AirPod fanatic and wear them most of my day for listening to YouTube or music.
