While it is about a 1 1/4″ tablet, it is very smooth, and with rounded ends, making it easier to swallow than some I’ve used. I also like the pale pink color which makes it easy to discern from my other supplements. It’s doing the job, I am 74 and still have excellent bone strength, so my doctor says. ( But, could that be genetic?) :>)

My doctor instructed me to take Calcium with D, 1200MG daily. I studied all the Calcium available and was convinced this brand and the ingredients were my best option. The first thing I did was the vinegar test, if it dissolved within an hour in the vinegar it would dissolve in my system. This tablet dissolved in less than 20 minutes, better than expected. It is also very easy to swallow in spite of the size of the tablet, and I have swallowing issues with some tablets. Thank you for a quality tablet.

Dr. recommended I start a Calcium regimen due to age and osteo. After 1 yr. of taking Kirkland Signature Calcium + D I was recently test and no signs of osteo. At age 51 that is great news!

I’ve bought these for years and although large, didn’t have a problem swallowing them. However, with the last bottle I bought a month or so ago, the pills seem to be a lot rougher, not smooth coated like all the other batches, making swallowing too difficult. My sister had the same issue with a bottle she bought as well. I can’t recommend/won’t be buying them anymore unless there is a change made back to the smoother product.

I have been using this supplement for decades and am pleased it has gone from a pink to a white tablet now. Calcium supplements should not have magnesium added because they fight for the same receptors in the body. Calcium and magnesium should be taken at least an hour apart for maximum absorption. Calcium carbonate is the product of the sedimentation of the shells of small fossilized snails, shellfish, and coral over millions of years. Would have preferred calcium made from oyster shells but due to concerns about lead contamination, this supplement is the best option for me.
